Read Write Inc Phonics
Read moreAt St. Mary’s we use the ‘Read Write Inc’ phonics programme. RWI is developed by Ruth Miskin and provides a whole-school approach to create fluent readers, confident speakers and willing writers.
Each member of staff is trained by Ruth Miskin Training (rated outstanding by Ofsted) to ensure consistent practice across the whole school.
Children are organised by ability, into small groups, accessing a daily 25 minute session.
