Breakfast Club
St Mary's Breakfast Club provides before school care and a varied breakfast menu for 26 children.
All members of staff hold appropriate childcare qualifications and the club is also registered with Ofsted and the Kids Club Network.
A variety of quiet table top activities are available for the children and, whilst high standards of behaviour are expected, a relaxed and friendly atmosphere provides a calming start to the day.
The early bird session starts at 7.30 a.m. and the normal session starts at 7.45 a.m. Both finish at 8.45 a.m. At that time all children go straight to their classrooms to prepare for the school day. Please note different charges apply for each session.
Children can be brought at any point during the breakfast club times, however please note the charges are per session.
After School Club
St Mary's After School Club was formed to meet the needs of working parents or those furthering their education. It offers after-school childcare from 3.15 to 5.45 p.m. for up to 32 children.
All members of staff hold appropriate childcare qualifications and the Club is registered with Ofsted and the Kids Club Network. Appropriate insurance is also held.
A variety of interesting activities are available, from which children may choose, e.g. drama, crafts, games, cooking, face painting, etc., whilst special activities such as discos, video evening, parties, etc are held during the year. The atmosphere is relaxed and informal, yet encourages the high standards of behaviour expected of children at St Mary's School.
Children can be collected at any time before 5.45 p.m., however, please note that charges are sessional. The club staff are only employed until 5.45 p.m. therefore please note, a late collection fee of £10 will be applied to your account for collections after this point, for fairness, we only charge this after a 'third' late collection and each occasion afterwards.
The club staff can now be contacted on a dedicated phone option on the phone system during the session, where you can let them know about any changes to pick up arrangements etc.
There are two ways in which sessions can be accessed : -
- Booked/Regular Slots - session charges will still apply even if your child does not attend
- Ad-Hoc/Emergency Sessions (please note that these sessions have a small surcharge built in for this convenience)
If you wish your child to be registered to attend either of the clubs on an Ad-Hoc basis, please inform the school office. For further information, please contact the school office.
The club is run by school staff and comes under the school Ofsted regulations. Our Ofsted registration number is 119672.
